Managing a fleet of service technicians can be a challenging task. But with the help of reliable technology and recent innovations in wireless communications, I've learned that everyday processes can be refined and improved to eliminate certain inefficiencies. As the owner of Rodenhiser Plumbing and Heating, I faced the problems of staying connected to my service technicians and maximizing their productivity in the field. For years, we used a combination of scheduling software, paperwork, two-way radios, and cellphones to manage our 17 plumbing and HVAC technicians.
